Saturday 19 May 2012, 10:00-16:30

ClinicalClinical Update Session - Management of Osteoporosis/ Chronic Kidney Disease and Bone / Allied Health Professionals Session

This year the ECTS has introduced a special day-long clinical session dedicated to updating health professionals on the latest advances in the management of patients with bone-related disorders.

In the morning, world-renowned experts will address issues surrounding the diagnosis of osteoporosis and fracture risk assessment, as well as provide an overview of the latest antiresorptive and anabolic therapeutic options and the decisions that need to be made to optimise treatment for the individual patient.

After lunch, delegates will be able to choose to attend either the Allied Health Professionals session, which will include oral abstracts and a special lecture presenting the ‘highlights of the 2012 programme,’ or a session focussed on chronic kidney disease and bone. This session will address the diagnosis and management of chronic kidney disease itself and the metabolic bone disease that results from it. Discussion will also focus upon the topical question of the management of osteoporosis in the presence of chronic kidney disease.

Fees –
